Adding and importing team members
You can bring your team into LetEmily by importing a spreadsheet all at once, adding people one at a time, or sending an introduction form so a new team member fills in their own details. All three are included on the Free plan, with no limit on how many people you add.
How do I import my whole team from a spreadsheet?
From Profiles, choose Import from CSV. Download the CSV template first so your columns line up: it requires a first name, last name, and team; email, title, department, start date, and notes are optional.
- Go to Profiles and select Import from CSV.
- Download the CSV template.
- Fill in your team using the template’s columns.
- Upload your completed file.
- Review the preview: it shows how many profiles will be created, which teams will be created, and any rows with problems.
- Select Import to create the profiles.
How do I add someone one at a time?
From Profiles, choose Add manually. Enter their first name, last name, email, position, and the team they belong to. You can also add optional context about how they like to communicate, what motivates them, their working style, and their strengths.
What is an introduction form?
An introduction form is a short questionnaire you can send by email to a team member, so they tell you directly about their communication preferences, what recognition means to them, their growth goals, workload, and stress level, instead of you guessing.
Send it from that person’s profile page. It requires an email address on file for them, and it is included on Free.
Do I need to import my team before I can use LetEmily?
No. You can start using LetEmily with just yourself signed in and add people as you go. Importing is a shortcut for bringing in a team you already manage elsewhere.
