You cannot help people grow by violating their trust. LetEmily holds notes, meetings and reflections about real people, often things they told you in confidence, so we protect that information the way you would want us to, and we say plainly what we do and do not do with it.

Your data is yours
You own the notes, profiles, and context you create. We hold it to serve you, not to sell, share, or mine it.
Never used to train AI
Your team’s data is never used to train AI models. It is used only to help you, inside your own workspace.
Encrypted and access-controlled
Your data is encrypted and protected with strict access controls. Leadership conversations are private by design.
Export or delete anytime
You can export your data or permanently delete your account whenever you choose. Leaving is as easy as joining.
No scores, no rankings
LetEmily produces no engagement scores, performance ratings, or rankings, not about your team, and not about you. There is nothing here that could be pulled into a review you did not choose to have.
This is not employee monitoring
Emily helps you notice things, an open thread, a recurring topic, a commitment going overdue. It is worth being exact about where that stops, because “noticing” is a word that can cover something much worse.
Everything Emily knows about a person is something you, their manager, chose to write down about your own conversations with them. She has no other source.
- Emily works for the manager, from the manager’s own notes, not for HR, and not over the team
- She does not rank, score, grade, or rate anyone on your team
- She does not decide whether someone is performing well
- She does not make or recommend employment decisions
- She does not monitor employees, read their messages, or track their activity
- She points out something worth noticing; the judgment is always yours
The test we hold the product to is whether you would be comfortable showing someone their own profile. Notes a manager keeps in order to be a better manager pass that test. Surveillance does not, and nothing here is built to become it.
How we handle your data
Encryption in transit and at rest, with access limited to what each part of the system needs to do its job.
You stay in control of every connection: connect or disconnect your calendar and Slack at any time.
GDPR-ready: request a full export of your data, or delete your account and its data, directly from your settings.
We use a small number of trusted providers: OpenAI for AI features, Postmark for email, and Stripe for billing, and share only what each needs to function.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers, ever.
Two-factor authentication is on our near-term roadmap for an extra layer of account protection.
